Runcorn Tavern Ad (1997)
My first animation was mainly an experiment in lip sync. Timing out every sound and syllable in the "dope sheet" before drawing the final images was something I found fascinating. Unlike my later films, where I drew everything by hand and either shot it on film, or scanned it into a computer, these drawings were made using a mouse. I used "CorelMove". The backgrounds were painted with watercolour and scanned in though. The moving background is just a looped house moving past. The smashing glass took the longest to animate.
